「朝陽國家步道」位於南澳村朝陽社區南側的龜山山丘上，步道有三個出入口，主入口位於南澳漁港旁，由此進入至龜山最高點，之後的步道一分為二，主線全長二點二公里，腳程約一個半小時，支線較短，約八十分鐘腳程。前段步道因其路面較陡，採人工構成的木棧階梯與枕木步道，後段步道較平坦則保留原有的土徑。本處風景區四季旅遊皆宜，可觀日出聽濤，步道週邊擁有豐富多樣的原生植物，如：九節木、江某、楓香、光臘樹、山香園、牛奶榕
