台北延吉街〈皇城老媽〉四川家庭料理餐廳的創辦人鄭文強，順手用廚房裡的豆豉與切成小段的韭菜，以及一點點肉末研發了〈蒼蠅頭〉這道菜當員工餐的菜式給同仁嘗，因為實在下飯後索性列入了餐廳菜單，結果大受歡迎並被全台各菜系餐廳「學以致用」，成了一道名菜。不少人還以為這〈蒼蠅頭〉是道四川「老菜」，菜餚沒法申請專利，也沒著作權，看著別家餐廳都推出了〈蒼蠅頭〉，鄭文強也只能笑稱「至少我對餐飲業有貢獻」。
