位於民生西路314號的波麗路餐廳在西元1934年(日治時期)就開幕， 當年以法式餐點如法國鴨子飯及精緻的西點、咖啡聞名。 我的爺爺廖水來熱愛音樂，創辦時不惜重金購置一流的進口音響設備，使波麗路的格調更顯高雅， 不僅吸引許多文人墨客在此聚會，更成為早期青年男女「相親」的熱門餐廳。
