General information
一九一二年教士會在台北牛埔庄（即今雙連地區）興建「馬偕紀念醫院」，因教士會有感於在馬偕醫院鄰近有必要設立一講義所，以便傳揚基督教救世福音，於是一九一三年在今民生西路中山二派出所旁設立「牛埔庄講義所」，此乃台灣基督長老教會雙連教會之前身。後來因感到地方太小，於是一九一七年於今民生東路與中山北路交叉口興建第一所正式禮拜堂。
